Purchase World of Hyatt Points With a 20% Bonus [Until July 27]

If your stash of World of Hyatt points is running low, the latest promotion to buy Hyatt points at a discounted rate is here. It presents a good opportunity to replenish your stockpile, but you’ll need to do so before July 27, 2026.

Here are the details of World of Hyatt’s latest buy-points promotion, along with how to decide if it makes sense for you.

Get a 20% Bonus on World of Hyatt Points

Members can receive a 20% bonus when purchasing 5,000 or more World of Hyatt points through July 27, 2026.

This offer has just 2 tiers:

  • Buy 2,000 to 6,000 points without a bonus
  • Buy 7,000+ points with a 20% bonus (2.17 cents each)
  • Direct link to purchase

If you purchase the maximum number of points, you’ll take home 66,000 points for $1,144 (55,000 points plus 11,000 points from the bonus). That’s a price of 2.17 centseach.

Here are the terms to be aware of:

  • You must be a World of Hyatt member for at least 60 days to purchase or receive bonus points.
  • Bonus points can be purchased in increments of 1,000, up to 110,000 points per calendar year.
  • The promotion ends on July 27, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Since the promotion is handled through Points.com, you won’t receive bonus category points when paying for the points with The World of Hyatt Credit Card or the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card. You should opt for whichever card you use for non-bonus purchases.

Should You Purchase World of Hyatt Points?

We value World of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents apiece, though it’s often possible to get more value than that. That said, the price of points during this sale is higher than our valuation, meaning buying points won’t make sense for everyone. However, this new purchase promotion allows you to buy Hyatt points at a fairly reasonable rate.

A great sweet spot here is purchasing the points needed for a Category 1 hotel stay. Since Category 1 hotels cost just 5,000 points per night on standard nights, purchasing the 5,000 points needed for the night would set you back $108.50. That could be less than the nightly price of even the most basic Hyatt hotels.

This may not exactly be the most glamorous way to use Hyatt points. However, it can be an excellent and practical way to save money, whether you’re visiting family in a smaller city or on a road trip and need a place to crash for the night.

Final Thoughts

Like always, you’ll need to decide whether it makes sense to purchase points is determined on a case-by-case basis. If you already have a large balance of World of Hyatt, Chase Ultimate Rewards, or Bilt Rewards points, or you don’t have an immediate use for Hyatt points, then this is probably a promotion to skip.

On the other hand, if your World of Hyatt points are dwindling and you have your eye on an upcoming redemption that would provide significant cash savings, then purchasing World of Hyatt points with this bonus is the way to go.

Purchases are available here, and the 20% bonus is available through June 27.
