Bilt Rewards Elite Status Guide: How To Earn It and What You Get at Each Tier

If you pay rent through Bilt and use a Bilt credit card for everyday spending, you’re likely already making progress toward Bilt Rewards elite status without tracking it. Bilt’s tiered loyalty program rewards members who engage more deeply with the ecosystem — through Bilt Points earned, dollars spent, or both — unlocking perks that range from improved transfer rates to a complimentary helicopter flight each year.

This guide covers exactly how the earning structure works, what each tier requires, and what you get when you reach it.

Bilt Rewards: A Brief Overview

Bilt Rewards members earn points on eligible rent or mortgage payments through Bilt, on everyday purchases with a Bilt credit card, and on spending with Bilt’s partner network, which includes Lyft, Walgreens, Bilt Dining restaurants, and fitness studios. Bilt Points can be transferred to more than 20 airline and hotel loyalty programs, used toward a home down payment, redeemed through the Bilt Travel Portal, or used in conjunction with Bilt Cash within the Bilt ecosystem (up to $100 of Bilt Cash earned rolls over to the next year).

Bilt currently offers 3 credit cards: the Bilt Palladium Card (rates & fees), the Bilt Obsidian Card (rates & fees), and the Bilt Blue Card (rates & fees). Each carries a different annual fee and earns Bilt Points at different rates. The Palladium Card, for example, earns 2x points on everyday nonbonus spending (offer terms). The card you hold (or whether you hold one at all) doesn’t determine your Bilt Rewards elite status tier, but card spending is one of the fastest ways to accumulate qualifying points toward status.

How Bilt Elite Status Earning Works

Bilt has 4 membership tiers: Blue, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Blue is the default for all members. The 3 elite tiers — Silver, Gold, and Platinum — can each be earned through either of 2 paths: qualifying Bilt Points or eligible spending accumulated within a calendar year (Source: Bilt). These qualification requirements were last updated in 2023.

Qualifying Points Path

Most Bilt Points count toward your tier status, including rent payments, credit card spend, and partner earnings. A few categories are excluded, including referral bonuses, courtesy points, member survey points, and incremental campaign bonus points, such as points earned during a limited-time multiplier promotion.

Thresholds for earn status via the points path are:

  • Silver: 50,000 qualifying points
  • Gold: 125,000 qualifying points
  • Platinum: 200,000 qualifying points

Fast-Track Spend Path

The spend path is based on eligible purchases within the Bilt ecosystem, excluding rent and mortgage payments. Qualifying spend includes nonrent purchases on any Bilt credit card, spending at Bilt Dining restaurants and Walgreens with any linked card, Lyft ride-share when Bilt is selected as your rewards partner, fitness classes booked through the Bilt app, and bookings through the Bilt Travel Portal.

Earning status this way requires:

  • Silver: $10,000 in eligible spend
  • Gold: $25,000 in eligible spend
  • Platinum: $50,000 in eligible spend

Bilt automatically awards whichever tier you’ve reached through either path. If you’ve accumulated 130,000 qualifying points but only $18,000 in eligible spend, you’d still earn Gold based on your points total.

Palladium Card Welcome Offer

There’s also a shortcut to Gold through the Palladium Card’s welcome offer:

  • Subject to approval: Earn 50,000 points after spending $4,000 on non-housing expenses in the first 90 days + Gold elite status. And, $300 Bilt Cash when you apply and get approved (offer terms).

How Long Status Lasts

Status earned in any calendar year remains valid for the rest of that year, all of the following year, and through January 15 of the year after that. Status earned at any point in 2026, for example, remains valid through January 15, 2028 (Source: Bilt).

* Home Away From Home provides Virtuoso-partnered luxury hotel benefits. Gold and Platinum members get automatic access; Blue and Silver members can unlock these perks by using $95 in Bilt Cash per month.

Blue Status

Blue is the starting point for every Bilt member, assigned automatically upon joining. Blue members can transfer Bilt Points to travel partners, mostly at a 1:1 ratio, with a minimum of 2,000 points per transfer. Other Blue benefits include access to monthly Rent Day promotions on the first of each month, the ability to opt in to rent reporting to the major credit bureaus, and access to the Bilt Collection for points redemptions. Blue members do not earn interest on their points balance, and Rent Day transfer bonuses are at the base level.

Silver Status

Reaching Silver (50,000 qualifying points or $10,000 in eligible spend) unlocks the first meaningful upgrade tier above the default. On top of all Blue benefits, Silver adds:

  • Lower transfer minimum: The per-transfer minimum drops from 2,000 to 1,000 points.
  • Interest on points: Silver members and above earn monthly interest on their Bilt Points balance, calculated at the FDIC national savings rate. The amounts are modest — a 10,000-point average balance earns roughly 4 points per month — but it’s a feature no other major loyalty program currently offers.
  • Improved Rent Day bonuses: Silver members receive higher transfer bonuses than Blue members during monthly Rent Day promotions.
  • BLADE discount: BLADE airport helicopter flights are 10% off when booked through the Bilt app.
  • Virgin Voyages status match: Silver members can match to Blue Extras status with Virgin Voyages on an ongoing basis. Blue Extras perks include an exclusive cocktail event, 1 specialty coffee per day, 1 complimentary laundry bag, and dedicated sailor support.
  • Lease bonus points: Silver members at Bilt Alliance properties receive up to a 10% bonus on landlord-issued points for new leases or renewals.
  • Rakuten earnings: 1 Bilt Point per $1 in Rakuten cash-back earned through the Rakuten shopping portal.

Gold Status

Earning Gold (125,000 qualifying points or $25,000 in eligible spend) adds more substantial perks on top of Silver, particularly for travelers and renters:

  • Higher Rent Day bonuses: Gold members receive elevated transfer bonuses above Silver during most monthly Rent Day promotions.
  • BLADE lounge access: Complimentary access to BLADE’s private lounges — in NYC; Westchester, New York; Nantucket, Massachusetts; Miami; and other locations — even on days when not flying. Up to 2 complimentary beverages are included per visit.
  • Home Away From Home: Automatic access to this Virtuoso-partnered luxury hotel collection, which provides potential room upgrades, property credits, early check-in, and late checkout when booking through Bilt.
  • Priority access to Rent Day experiences: Gold members can book Rent Day experiences — dinners, concerts, and events — before Silver and Blue members.
  • Homeownership concierge: Gold members who redeem Bilt Points toward a home down payment (at 1.5 cents per point) receive a dedicated concierge to guide them through the process.
  • Travel concierge: Access to a Bilt Travel Concierge to help with trip planning.
  • Lease bonus: The landlord lease signing or renewal bonus increases to up to 25%.

Platinum Status

Hitting Platinum (200,000 qualifying points or $50,000 in eligible spend) unlocks the program’s top-tier perks. All Gold benefits carry over, and Platinum adds:

  • Complimentary BLADE flight: Receive 1 free BLADE helicopter flight per year between Manhattan and New York (JFK) or Newark (EWR), or between Nice (NCE) and Monaco in France. The voucher is redeemable through the Travel tab in the Bilt app.
  • Air France-KLM Flying Blue Gold status: Transfer 10,000 Bilt Points to Flying Blue via the Bilt app’s Elite Status Match section to unlock a 12-month Flying Blue Gold status match. Flying Blue Gold carries SkyTeam Elite Plus recognition across Air France, KLM, Delta, and other SkyTeam carriers, including priority check-in and boarding, free seat selection, extra baggage allowance, and international lounge access. There is currently no published end date for this offer, so Platinum members can potentially renew it each year they hold their status (Source: Bilt).
  • Virgin Voyages Deep Blue Extras match: Platinum members match to Deep Blue Extras rather than Blue Extras, adding a $100 bar tab credit, unlimited premium Wi-Fi, priority embarkation boarding, and more comprehensive complimentary laundry service.
  • Maximum Rent Day bonuses: Platinum members receive the highest available transfer bonuses during Rent Day promotions.
  • Lease bonus: Up to 50% on landlord-issued lease points.
  • Annual gift: A complimentary item from the Bilt Collection, typically home decor or art.
  • Priority support: Access to a dedicated Bilt support team.

Across all elite tiers, members also earn Bilt Cash — $50 for every 25,000 qualifying points earned toward status, starting January 1, 2026. Bilt Cash can be applied toward hotel credits, Lyft credits, fitness class fees, restaurant credits, and rent payment fees, among other uses. As of March 1, 2026, Blue and Silver members can spend $95 in Bilt Cash to unlock 1 Home Away From Home booking per month.

Final Thoughts

For most active Bilt Rewards members, Silver is achievable without significantly changing spending habits. Rent payments plus regular card use can get you to 50,000 qualifying points faster than you might expect. Gold requires more deliberate engagement but delivers genuinely useful perks for travelers; the BLADE lounge access and Home Away From Home hotel benefits both carry real monetary value.

Platinum is a high bar at 200,000 points or $50,000 in spend, but the Flying Blue Gold status match — covering SkyTeam airlines including Delta — and the annual complimentary BLADE flight make it worth tracking if you’re already close or can get there without unnecessary spending.
