Aer Lingus is adding another U.S. city to its route map — and it’s an interesting one. The Irish flag carrier starts flights from Dublin (DUB) to Pittsburgh (PIT) today.
Here’s what you should know about Aer Lingus’ new route to the Steel City.
Aer Lingus Launches New Flights to East Coast City
Aer Lingus announced on December 11, 2025, that it would start nonstop flights from its Dublin (DUB) base to Pittsburgh (PIT).
Flights begin today, May 25, 2026, and operate 3 times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Here’s a look at the schedule:
|

Dublin to Pittsburgh |

Aer Lingus is flyings its Airbus A321LR aircraft on the route. The airline will fly PIT-DUB year-round, though it will pause service between the 2 cities in January and February.
Pittsburgh International Airport, which originally announced the news, said this was the first time the 2 cities have been connected with regular, nonstop scheduled flights.

While Aer Lingus‘ selection of Pittsburgh as its newest U.S. destination might raise some eyebrows, the choice makes sense.
Irish immigrants who came to the city to escape the Great Famine in the 1800s helped rebuild it after a devastating fire, and today there’s a sizable Irish-American population in Pittsburgh.
Last fall, the Pittsburgh Steelers played the first-ever NFL regular-season game in Dublin because the team’s owners have roots in Ireland. Aer Lingus is also an official airline of the Steelers. Plus, several major Pittsburgh-based businesses have operations in Ireland.
Booking Aer Lingus Flights to Pittsburgh
Flights for Aer Lingus’ new route between Dublin and Pittsburgh are now live. We’re seeing round-trip, economy flights starting at $624. That’s a pretty solid deal, especially from a medium-sized airport.

Aer Lingus is part of the Avios ecosystem. That means you can redeem points through its own AerClub program, British Airways Club, or Club Iberia Plus. Plus, you can easily move Avios between your accounts at British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Finnair, and even Qatar Airways — instantly and for free.
Expect to pay 13,000 Avios plus $123 in taxes and fees when redeeming through AerClub on off-peak dates. That’s one-way pricing, to be clear.
You can also book flights on the new route (or any of Aer Lingus’ routes) with Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points and American Airlines AAdvantage miles.
Final Thoughts
Aer Lingus’ new route connecting Dublin with Pittsburgh is exciting news for travelers in the city and throughout Western Pennsylvania. The new route makes it easier to get to Dublin, of course, but it also means easier connections with Aer Lingus’ extensive route network across Europe.
