After 2 unforgettable months wandering around Thailand — getting lost in bustling markets, eating things I still can’t pronounce correctly, and chasing sunsets on idyllic beaches — I wanted my final night in Bangkok to feel like a celebration.
Fortunately, Bangkok is dotted with world-class hotels, and I’ve had the opportunity to experience many of them over the years.
I invited a close friend to share the experience, and together we checked into the Conrad Bangkok, a luxury Hilton retreat tucked away in the heart of the city.
Here’s a look at my July 2026 stay at Conrad Bangkok — what stood out, what surprised me, and everything worth knowing before you book.
1. It Has Good Elite Benefits But Weak Points Value
Conrad Bangkok is a Hilton hotel and can be booked using Hilton Honors points, but it may not be a good value.
A standard room at Conrad Bangkok can be booked from 45,000 Hilton Honors points, and award availability tends to be pretty solid. The property’s cash rate hovers around $190 per night. As we value Hilton Honors points at 0.5 cents a piece, 45,000 points are worth around $225. Since cash rates at the property are typically lower than $225, an award here is not the best use of Hilton Honors points. I redeemed points anyway, since I had a healthy balance of Hilton Honors points and cash rates were close to $215 for the night of my stay.
It can make sense to redeem Hilton Honors points at Conrad Bangkok to take advantage of Hilton’s fifth-night-free benefit. With this perk, Hilton Honors elite members with Silver, Gold, or Diamond status receive every fifth night free when redeeming points for a standard room stay of 5 nights or longer.
I currently have Hilton Honors Diamond elite status from my Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card. Diamond status provides excellent benefits at Conrad Bangkok, whether paying cash or redeeming Hilton Honors points for award stays:

2. It Has a Terrific Location in Lumphini
Conrad Bangkok is located near the CRC Tower building in All Seasons Place, a mixed-use development on Wireless Road (Witthayu Road) in Bangkok’s Lumphini district.
Lumphini is best known for its mix of modern office towers and high-rises, upscale hotels, fine dining venues, numerous embassies, and vast green spaces.
The hotel is roughly a 10-minute walk from Phloen Chit BTS station (on the Sukhumvit Line), which provides excellent connections across Bangkok.
Conrad Bangkok is about a 35- to 45-minute drive from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Using Grab, Southeast Asia’s largest ride-sharing app, the trip should cost about ฿500 ($15), though the fare varies with traffic and demand. The hotel can also be reached via the Airport Rail Link to Phaya Thai station with a change to the BTS Skytrain.
3. My Room Was Modern and Refined
My room was comfortable and modern. Though I originally booked a standard Deluxe King room, I was upgraded to a Premium King – High Floor room upon check-in, thanks to my Diamond status.
Although the room was on the smaller side compared with many other luxury hotels I have stayed at in Bangkok, it was refined and understated. The room had some high-end furnishings, including side tables and lamps. There were numerous switches and controls on either side of the bed that controlled the lighting and blinds.
The room’s king-size bed was extremely comfortable, with a plush, padded headboard, and the linens were also top-notch.
Many Conrad hotels worldwide feature a signature teddy bear, but Conrad Bangkok features an elephant to honor Thailand’s national animal.
The room featured a spacious living area with a long sofa, a plush armchair, and a rounded glass coffee table. There was also a large, rounded dining table which doubled as a workspace.
The most surprising part? The room had a Herman Miller office chair — the same model I use in my home office. It was exceptionally comfortable, and its ergonomic design made it easy to stay productive.
The room also offered some tremendous panoramic views of Bangkok. From the room, we could see many skyscrapers, including the popular King Power Mahanakhon building.
The room also included a generously sized bathroom with luxurious finishes. It featured a deep soaking tub, a high-tech Japanese toilet equipped with a bidet, and a spacious walk-in shower with a rainfall showerhead.
The bathroom featured a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the room. Fortunately, controls next to the tub could raise or lower the privacy blinds.
Bottom Line:
Though Conrad Bangkok is more than 20 years old, the room was still quite modern. It was on the smaller side, but it still exuded elegance and refined luxury, and the layout and interior decoration created warmth and coziness.
4. There Were Several Places To Eat and Drink
Conrad Bangkok offers 5 restaurants and bars and an Executive Lounge:
- Café@2 is the hotel’s main breakfast venue, serving an array of Asian and Western dishes.
- City Terrace is the hotel’s poolside dining venue, which serves drinks and light meals.
- Diplomat Bar is the hotel’s lobby cocktail bar and lounge, with live music each evening.
- The Executive Lounge offers snacks and nonalcoholic beverages throughout the day.
- Kisara is the hotel’s upscale Japanese restaurant, specializing in contemporary Japanese cuisine, including sushi and teppanyaki.
- Liu is the hotel’s Chinese restaurant, serving authentic Cantonese specialties, including classics such as dim sum, barbecue, and seafood.
Breakfast at Café@2
Diamond elites can have breakfast at either the Executive Lounge or Café@2. My friend and I opted for Café@2 because a staff member mentioned there was a wider selection of food.
The breakfast buffet had an impressive selection of international and Thai dishes, including khao kai jeow (fried omelet over rice), pad thai (stir-fried noodles), khao tom (rice soup), and pad kra pao (stir-fried meat and holy basil).
However, the best part of the experience was the dedicated sticky rice counter. Here, there were a variety of Thai desserts, including classics like mango sticky rice, sticky rice with caramelized coconut, and sticky rice with custard.
Bottom Line:
Overall, breakfast was solid. There was a wide variety of food to choose from, and everything was being replenished as needed. However, the restaurant was extremely busy, making it very difficult to get around.
5. There Is an Executive Lounge
Conrad Bangkok has an Executive Lounge on the 29th floor, open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The lounge was quite large and could comfortably seat about 100 people.
Diamond elites and guests in club rooms have lounge access and can enjoy breakfast at the lounge on weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m. and on weekends from 6 to 11 a.m.
The lounge also hosts a dailyafternoon teafrom 2 to 4 p.m. and an evening cocktail event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The afternoon tea consisted of light snacks and desserts, with a slightly different offering each day. There were some sandwiches and some excellent dessert offerings, including mango sticky rice, raspberry cheesecake, and blueberry scones.
The evening cocktail offered many more food options, including some tremendous chicken karaage and mushroom-and-truffle quiche. There was also a fantastic selection of beverages — alcoholic and nonalcoholic.
6. There Were Numerous On-Site Amenities
The property boasts luxurious amenities, including 7th Heaven (its wellness sanctuary, which features the award-winning Seasons Spa), a fully equipped Bodyworx fitness center, a yoga studio, a whirlpool, and an outdoor rooftop swimming pool.
The massive rooftop swimming pool was the highlight of the stay. The pool had a resort feel, which was impressive considering Bangkok is one of the world’s busiest and most hectic cities.
The outdoor pool area was stunning, with sweeping views of the surrounding skyscrapers. The swimming pool was well-maintained, enhancing the property’s luxurious atmosphere. Additionally, there were numerous lounge chairs, all shaded by umbrellas to keep guests comfortable in Bangkok’s blistering heat.
The property also offered 2 pickleball courts, a tennis court, a city terrace, a sun deck, steam and sauna rooms, a playground, a garden sanctuary, and more than 20 function rooms, including the spacious Conrad Ballroom, which accommodates up to 1,200 guests.
The hotel offered an impressive variety of activities for guests, with and without fees. These include circuit training, Tabata fitness classes, traditional Thai cooking classes, pickleball workshops, full-body workouts, Thai dessert cooking classes, towel-folding workshops, instructor-led HIIT sessions, and mixology classes.
7. There Are Great Views Throughout the Hotel
Thanks to its location high above the city, Conrad Bangkok offers tremendous panoramic views. The hotel boasts large windows throughout the swimming pool area, lounge, and guest rooms.
Though my room had excellent views, the Executive Lounge offers the best views from the hotel. From the lounge, we had almost uninterrupted 360-degree views of Bangkok. Conrad Bangkok arguably offers the best views in the city.
Final Thoughts
Conrad Bangkok is a fantastic 5-star luxury hotel. The property offers plenty, including spacious guest rooms and suites, as well as luxurious amenities such as a rooftop swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness center, a spa, an Executive Lounge, and several on-site dining venues.
Cash rates are around $200 per night, and nights can be booked with Hilton Honors points. Hilton Honors Diamond elite status also goes a long way at the property, offering benefits such as Executive Lounge access and complimentary breakfast for 2 people.
This was one of my best Conrad stays, and I would absolutely consider staying at Conrad Bangkok again, especially when redeeming points. However, Hilton has many excellent properties in Bangkok to choose from, and I would likely pick a different one next time to see how it compares.
